The six songs on the soundtrack of Gangubai Kathiawadi included four solos, of which three were female solos.
If they were arranged in the alphabetical order, Jab
Saiyaan, which was four minutes and seven seconds long, would be the first.
Listening to the Shreya Ghoshal solo prompted me to
remark that it was just a matter of time before we could all listen to a good
song again, because it was certainly worth the agonising wait.
Of course, the lyricist (A M Turaz) and the composer
(Sanjay Leela Bhansali) also deserved the credit for that.
