Shabbir and Vishal sang it

If the four songs on the soundtrack of Ruslaan were arranged in the alphabetical order, Taade would be the last.

And if they were arranged in the ascending order of their durations, it would be the penultimate one – it was just a couple of minutes and 58 seconds long.

Appropriately, the two men involved in all the songs in the film teamed up to lend their voices to it.

One of them was the person who wrote it – Shabbir Ahmed.

And the other was the man who composed it – the one and only Vishal Mishra.

Riba sang it with Sotal

If the four songs on the soundtrack of Ruslaan were arranged in the alphabetical order, Pehla Ishq would be the penultimate one.

By the way, three of those were under the three-minute mark.

And if they were arranged in the ascending order of their durations, it would be the second – it was a couple of minutes and 48 seconds long.

It was the second contribution of singer Rana Sotal to the soundtrack of the film.

The person who joined behind the microphone for the song was Rito Riba.

Shabbir Ahmed wrote the Vishal Mishra composition.

Nagpal and Sotal joined Dadlani

The subject of this post – Dil Phisal Gaya – happened to be a recent addition to my collection.

If the four songs from Ruslaan (which released in 2024) were arranged in the alphabetical order, as well as in the ascending order of their durations, it would be the first – it was just a couple of minutes and 21 seconds long.

Of the three people who lent their voices to it, only Vishal Dadlani was a household name.

Rajat Nagpal and Rana Sotal joined him behind the microphone for it.

Shabbir Ahmed wrote the Vishal Mishra composition.

Bipin sang it with Divya

The second song on the soundtrack of Ruslaan that began with the letter D was Dua-E-Khair.

But if the songs on the film’s soundtrack were arranged in the descending order of their durations, it would be the first – it was five minutes and 26 seconds long.

Two men who lent it their voices.

The better-known singer was Divya Kumar.

And the person who joined him behind the microphone for it was Bipin Das.

It was their only contribution to the soundtrack of the film.

Shabbir Ahmed wrote the song, which was composed by Vishal Mishra.

It was sung by Tushar

If the three songs from Main Ladega were arranged in the alphabetical order, Tujhse Pyaar Hai would be the last.

The man who lent his voice to the song, which was written by Anweshaa, was Tushar Joshi.

The involvement of Akshay Menon in the song wasn’t restricted to composing, but he also happened to be the arranger and producer.

While Moniraj Hazarika and Suraj Rabha were the guitarists, Shivam Gupta was the recording engineer.

Harsh Kamdar and Snehan Pillai were the music assistants and supervisors.

And the song was mixed and mastered by Kohinoor Mukherjee.

Romy rendered the title track

If the three songs on the soundtrack of Main Ladega were arranged in the alphabetical order, its title track would be the second.

The name of the song was the Main Ladega Anthem.

While the film’s soundtrack had a couple of versions of the song, my collection contained just one.

Romy lent his voice to it.

The song ws composed by Mukund Suryawanshi.

It was penned by Shloke Lal and Akshay Dhawan (whose stage name was Akshay The One).

The other version had a rap portion, sung by Akash Pratap Singh, the film’s leading man.

This was a Sonu solo

Main Ladega released in 2024.

My collection contained three songs from the film.

While it is not uncommon for the soundtrack of Hindi films to have songs that celebrate the bond between a mother and a son, there hy subject of this post released before Mother’s Day* – it was titled Maai Meri.

The man who lent his voice to it was the one and only Sonu Nigam.

The song, which was written by Vaishnavi Thakur, was composed by Mukund Suryawanshi.

(*Note: While Mother’s Day fell on May 12, 2024, the film released on April 26.)

Mugdha sang it with Raag

As kids growing up in the 1990s, most of us have played a game called ‘Truth or Dare’.

And one of the most weirdly-titled songs was Truth Ya Naach Theme.

If the five tracks on the soundtrack of Love Sex Dhokha 2 were arranged in the alphabetical order, it would be the last.

It was a couple of minutes and 26 seconds long.

Mugdha Hasabnis and the aptly-named Raag Suri sang it.

Dibakar Banerjee wasn’t just the lyricist, but was also one of the three people who composed it.

Nirmit and Tanmay were the others.

Kiran Mary George rendered it

There was a song on the soundtrack of Love Sex Dhokha 2 that was contrary to the state of mind of people who listen to songs from Hindi films that have released since the pandemic.

That was because it was titled Main Khush Hoon.

If they were arranged in the ascending order of their durations, it would be the third – it was just a couple of minutes and 26 seconds long.

Kiran Mary George sang it.

The song was written by Dibakar Banerjee, who was also one of the three people who composed it – Nirmit and Tanmay were the others.

The Kakkar sibliNgs sang iT

If the five songs on the soundtrack of Love Sex Dhokha 2 were arranged in the alphabetical order, the subject of this post would be the third – it was titled Kamsin Kali.

If they were arranged in the descending order of their durations, it would be the second – it was three minutes and 13 seconds long.

The involvement of Tony Kakkar in the song wasn’t restricted to penning and composing it, but he was also one of the two people who lent it their voices.

Neha Kakkar was the other.

Holkar sang it with Nautiyal

If Gulabi Aankhen, from The Train (1970), and Laal Peeli Ankhiyan, from Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (2024), had a love child, it would be the subject of this post.

And that was because it was titled Gulabi Ankhiyan.

The song happened to be the longest of the five songs on the soundtrack of Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 – it was four minutes and 26 seconds long.

Sakshi Holkar joined Jubin Nautiyal behind the microphone for it.

The song, which was penned by the one and only Kumaar, was composed by the Meet Bros.

Sunidhi and Sneha sang it

Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 (abbreviated to LSD 2) released in 2024.

It was the sequel to Love Sex Aur Dhokha (LSD), which released in 2010.

My collection contained five songs from the film.

If they were arranged in the alphabetical order, and in the ascending order of their durations, Gandi Taal would be the first – it was just a couple of minutes and nine seconds long.

Sneha Khanwalkar didn’t just compose it, but she also sang it with the one and only Sunidhi Chauhan.

Dibakar Banerjee – also the films’ director – wrote it with Vayu.

Divya lent it his voice

I don’t usually include the unplugged versions of songs in my collection.

But, in case of the subject of this post, I apparently had no choice.

Nobody would like to listen to the phrase, “Ram Naam Satya Hai” (which could be translated to, “Lord Rama's name is the truth”), because it is associated with Hindi cremations.

But that was the title of the song in question.

Palaash Muchhal penned and composed the Divya Kumar solo from Kaam Chalu Hai.

Saurabh Singh Senger was the music producer.

Rahul Sharma was credited with mixing and mastering it.

Palak and Javed sang it

Lai Bhaari is a Marathi phrase which could be translated to, “Awesome”.

It also happened to be a song on the soundtrack of Kaam Chalu Hai.

Unfortunately, the first of those italicised phrases couldn’t be used to describe the song.

The two people who lent it their voices were Palak Muchhal and Javed Ali.

The former wrote the song, which was composed by Palaash Muchhal.

Saurabh Singh Senger was the music producer.

Rahul was credited with mixing and (Shar)mastering it.

Samir Dharap was the recordist.

And Shomu Seal was the live mandolin player and guitarist.

Parry wrote and performed it

The subject of this post was the title track of Kaam Chalu Hai.

And there is no two ways about the fact that rap was the most effective way to drive home the point that the civic body had to swing into action.

Therefore, Parry G was roped in to write and perform the song.

The only thing he did not do was compose the song – that was credited to Palaash Muchhal.

While Rahul Sharma mixed and mastered the song, Saurabh Singh Senger was not just the music arranger, but was the programmer as well.

It was rendered by Papon

If the five songs from Kaam Chalu Hai were arranged in the alphabetical order, Gudiya would be the second.

The song also happened to be the on-screen nickname of the leading man’s daughter. Her character’s name was Garvita Patil.

One of the two people who composed the song was Palaash Muchhal.

The other composer was Saurabh Singh Senger, who was also credited as the music producer.

The person who lent his voice to the song was none other than Papon.

The song was written by Palak Muchhal.

It was mixed and mastered by Rahul Sharma.

Ms Bhardwaj sang this song

Kaam Chalu Hai is the translation of a familiar sign in Mumbai, which reads, “Kaam Chalu Aahe” (or, “Work is in progress”).

It also happened to be the title of a film that released in 2024.

My collection contained five songs from it.

If they were arranged in the alphabetical order, Ghar Aaja would be the first.

The lady who lent her voice to the song was Rekha Bhardwaj.

The film was directed by Palaash Muchhal, who wrote and composed the song as well.

Deepak Gupta was the music producer.

Rahul mixed and (Shar)mastered it.

Nigam Lent it hiS voice

Sannata – which could be translated to, “Silence” – was a word popularised by the veteran character actor A K Hangal via his iconic dialogue from the cult 1975 film Sholay, “Itna sannata kyon hai, bhai?

Forty-nine years later, an unrelated Sannata was the second song from JNU: Jahangir National University.

It was rendered by Sonu Nigam, who was joined behind the microphone by Supriya Pathak and Lakshay Sharma.

The song, which was written by Rajesh Manthan, was composed by Vijay Verma.

The quartet of chorus singers comprised Santosh Bote, Rahul Chitnis, Sagar Lele, and Vivek Naik.

Piyush Mishra was the singer

JNU – which released in 2024 – stood for Jahangir National University.

My collection contained a couple of songs from the film.

If they were arranged in the alphabetical order, Main Nahin Maanta would be the first.

There is no two ways about the fact that Piyush Mishra was the apt person to render it.

The song was composed by Vijay Verma, who also happened to be the backing vocalist.

The person credited with penning it was Danish Rana.

Anamik Chauhan was the music producer, Manas Kumar was the violinist, and Abani Tanti mixed and masted it.

Papon and Divya rendered it

If the three songs from Good Morning Sunshine were arranged in the alphabetical order, Teri Roshni would be the third.

Two men lent their voices to it.

And there is no two ways about the fact that they are the most unique voices on the scene at thar moment.

One of them was Papon.

And the other was Divya Kumar.

The song was penned by Riya Mukherjee.

It was composed by M M Keeravani, whose team was involved in the arrangement and programming of the music.

The song was two minutes and 34 seconds long.
