song on its soundtrack – it was four minutes and 32 seconds long,
The Shantanu
Moitra composition was sung by Soumya Murshidabadi.
It was written by
Sant Kabir, a 15th-century Indian mystic poet and saint, who was
born in Varanasi, and died in Maghar.
Incidentally, all
the three cities mentioned in this poet – viz., Pilibhit, Varanasi and Maghar –
are in present-day Uttar Pradesh, a state in north India.
