There was a film titled Chote Nawab (which released in 1961, and marked composer R D Burman’s debut).
And then there was its unrelated namesake, which
released in 2024, and starred my namesake, Akshay Oberoi.
My collection contained four songs from the film.
The first of those was the recreated version of a ghazal
I first heard when I was a kid.
It was titled Kisi Ranjish Ko.
That song was penned by Sudarshan Faakir, and composed
by Jagjit Singh.
Nandini Srikar lent her voice to the song, which was
originally sung by Chitra Singh.
