Of the three songs from The Archies in my collection that were not composed by Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani, and Loy Mendonsa, a couple were composed by Ankur Tewari and The Islanders.
Chhoona Aasmaan couldn’t have been a more apt title for
the song, because it was a film starring newcomers, who obviously want to touch
the sky.
The involvement of
Tewari in the song, however, wasn’t restricted to composing it – he wrote and
sang it too.
It was the shorter
of his two contributions to the film’s soundtrack – it was exactly three
minutes long.
