Ms Kakkar’s version was awful

I decided to start blogging in 2017, only so that I could call the trend of recreating yesteryear hits out.

The title track of Jaane Jaan was a poorly-recreated version of Aa Jaane Jaan, the Laxmikant-Pyarelal composition from Intaqam (1969), which was written by Rajinder Krishan.

Mercifully, Krishan’s lyrics were retained in the credits of this version as well.

Why did Neha Kakkar have to step into the shoes of the legendary Lata Mangeshkar?

The Sachin-Jigar composition was the shorter of the two songs in the film – it was two minutes and 20 seconds long.
